We are getting some wonderful submissions in – so this year is going to be our best ever Adventure!
We hope that you are all going to come to the exhibition, but as this is also the widest range of countries taking part please remember to send us your address and biography info so that everyone knows who you are.
We will be producing an A3 size newspaper publication and send out a free copy to all contributors.
Here is a whimsical part of Zara Slattery’s story:

We have just confirmed that Mike Garley, editor in chief of VS Comics will be our
guest speaker for First Friday this year, and, he has offered to publish the best
three comics submissions in his digital comics edition.
In light of this exciting news we are extending the deadline for submissions to the
30th January and postponing publication of our paper until the 21st February to
coincide with GEEK2013.
All entries will be on display at our 1 February First Friday and this exhibition will
move to the Pie Factory for 16th to 24th February 2013 where we’ll invite people
to identify the stories they think should win. These peoples’-choice picks will share
the winners’ podium with the judge’s choice – as chosen by Paul Gravett, author
of ‘1001 comics you must read before you die’.
In the meantime, have a look at a crop from Antonio Vinci’s submission all the way from Italy:

This year’s exhibition takes place on Friday 1st February at Marine Studios from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and we are hoping many of you can join us for a glass of wine and some inspiring chat.
This is our third year and we are delighted to see some familiar names amongst the emails coming in. In fact I thought it would be a good idea this year to personalise the show a bit more.
So – If you could all send me a short paragraph about yourself, a picture (or drawing) of your beautiful face and maybe some of the rough sketches that went into the making of your submission I will put that up alongside the comic in the exhibition. Links to your own websites and blogs would also be good. I would love for the future of AIC to establish some sort of community identity and that depends on you…

As the submissions start to come in I am wondering what challenge we are to set for next year (so that we can publish the title with this years paper).
I really enjoy the imaginative responses to our simple titles.
So Far we have had:
Any suggestions for the next one?
