Oriental Orb

On a recent visit to Haw Par Villa in Singapore I was delighted to find this little orb:

The gardens are a three dimensional graphic novel with portrayals of Chinese classics (like the Journey to the West) rendered in painted concrete dioramas. Originally built by the Haw Brothers, who made their fortune inventing Tiger Balm, it is now a little sad and desolate. Here are a couple more pictures for your delectation and delight:
